How I got into fitness + wellness

Growing up i was always the smaller kid in my friend group. I got sick when i was in elementary school and lost over 25 pounds and was already skinny for my age. Transitioning into middle school this made me a very shy kid who was not confident in his body. I was picked on a lot in middle school which lead me to pushing my friends away. Skipping forward to my sophomore year of high school, i finally started to hit a growth spurt and began to gain confidence. I became closer with some of my friends on the football team and after watching influencers on youtube like Steve Cook and Bradley Martyn, i started getting into woking out. I immediately started seeing results that extremely boosted my confidence and completely changed me as a person. Now to this day my interest in fitness/wellness has skyrocketed, and i have created my own fitness brand to spread my knowledge and transformation.

Why giving your ALL in what you love is important

If you don't give it your all, then what is the point of doing it? As young people we all have our certain desires and things we want to accomplish in life. And we all have these similar thoughts of wanting to live our teenage lives and not wanting to miss out on things such as hanging with friends, going to events, parties, etc. If you are truly sold on wanting to be successful and achieving your aspirations, then why not give it 110% of your focus? Not saying you need to forget about all the others things, but PRIORITIZE that one thing. Theres no exact way on how you are supposed to live you life, so live it the way YOU want to.  For example let's say you want to pursue a dream in a certain sport. Solely focus on that sport as long as you possible can. If you get to when you are past the point of making it, but you gave everything you could, you would be more happy with yourself then if you only gave in here and there. If you really love it, then you might as well invest all ...

My Saturday Morning at the SRU Homecoming Game

Starting off my first homecoming here at Slippery Rock University was waking up Saturday morning around 7am. Heading to my 8am walk-through to get one last preparation in before the big rivalry game vs IUP. After the walk-through around 9am we headed to Boozel dining hall to eat breakfast as a team. Multiple plates down and now its 10am on the way to Mihalik-Thompson Stadium to start our pregame routine. Once I arrived at the stadium I head into the locker room to start getting dressed. Its now 12am and its time for specialists to take the field to get a pre game warmup in. Its finally closing in on game time, and we are all psyched to run through the tunnel onto the field. Fast forwarding through the four, fifteen minute quarters on the wet, rained-out turf. We had some troubles on all sides of the ball, and unfortunately the game wasn't going our way as planned. After the final scoreboard buzzer rang, we felt as if we let the university down. After-all, ...
